Convert text filler
With the “Convert Fill to Stitch” function, you have the ability to change a fill area made with full or satin stitch.
This option is very convenient especially for small text objects. If the text is too small to be filled with Satin stitches, the best alternative is to fill the object with Stitch Stitch by applying this function.
Sketch function
This edition of Creative Drawings lets you transform an image into a black and white drawing with a “sketch” effect.
The great advantage of being able to use this function relates to the fact that the design will be generated to cover only 20% of the total area so as to save on embroidery thread and achieve an ideal design for embroidering on delicate or stretch fabrics such as T-shirts.
If an image created with paintStitch requires 120,000 stitches, the image created with Sketch will require only 30,000 stitches.
The design is meant to be made with a single black thread, to also minimize thread change and processing time, but up to 7 shades of gray can be chosen.
Acting on the brightness of the image or the thickness of the pencil gives different results and changes the number of dots (the darker the image, the more dots will be needed)
Cut and rotate bitmap fills
In the previous edition it was not possible to edit an embroidery created with the Cross-stitch, Photostitch, PaintStitch functions.
These images were generated in a rectangle that could not be edited. With Edition XII it is possible to cut out part of the image, mask it with a shape, rotate it or tilt it.
If you place a large enough object on top of the image now a hole will be generated in the image to remove the overlap.
These functions (including the Sketch function) also support png files and handle transparency by generating embroidery stitches only where the image is without creating a background as was previously the case.
New property window
The properties window has been completely redesigned to be more practical, with groupings by property type that can be contracted to leave more space in the work area.
Also, when they are not needed, property windows are not shown.
Vertical text
In this 12th edition, text can also be inserted vertically.
Enhanced manual mode
With the new manual mode, the fills and outlines of objects are separated so that they can be handled separately.
You can then decide for each object to insert/exclude the thread trimmer or apply forced stop of the machine.
When a new object is inserted it is no longer placed at the bottom of the sequences but is added immediately after the currently selected object. When you delete a drawing element, the selection does not disappear and the object in the sequence following the deleted one is immediately selected.

Color selection
In this edition, the ability to also select colors by color code by yarn brand, by description (e.g., green, yellow, etc.) or by RGB code has been added.
Fits the frame
With this function the program, at the user's request, can adapt any design to the frame automatically.
Show/Hide Objects
It is now possible to show and hide objects when designing an embroidery design. This feature is really very useful: when you need to edit some objects in the background it can definitely be convenient to hide objects in the foreground.
Edit embroidery file density (raw)
With Drawings Creative XII, you can change the density even of embroidery (raw) files that were not designed with DRAWings. You can change the density of a section without changing its dimensions by up to +/- 25%.
Excess knot removal
A function has also been added in this edition to reduce excess knots in a path. This function applies only to curved knots and not to squared knots to still maintain every edge of the shape.
