Are you a quilting enthusiast and want to convert your Pfaff sewing machine to quilting?
This presser foot is designed to give you optimal control for free-motion quilting.
The wide base provides a good contact surface with the fabric and more control over the seam.
The transparent base allows perfect visibility.
The markings on the presser foot make it easy to follow a quilt pattern or design on the fabric.
Sew straight lines or follow patterns with rounded edges easily.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR PROPER ASSEMBLY
Unplug the sewing machine before assembling the unit
1. Disengage the IDT system.
2. Loosen the presser foot attachment screw completely and remove the attachment.
3. Engage the Free-motion Echo Quilting foot in the foot bar and secure it with the screw included in the package.
4. Thread the machine.
5. Select a straight point.
6. Set the PFAFF sewing machine to Sensormatic freehand mode. The jaws will lower automatically.
Please note: When the feeders are down, the machine no longer carries the fabric. You must be the one to move the fabric.
7. Fish out the bobbin thread by sewing a stitch. Hold both threads and sew a few stitches to start.
8. Keep an even speed and move the fabric in a smooth motion. By moving the fabric you adjust the length of the stitches.
9. Sew around the quilt pattern, applique or motif on the fabric, keeping an even spacing to draw the shape.
10. Sew a second row, maintaining an even spacing from the first row. Use the red marks on the presser foot as a guide to keep the space even.
11. Repeat as many times as necessary to create the desired effect.
Please note: When sewing in Sensormatic free-motion mode, at low speed the presser foot lifts and lowers with each stitch to hold the fabric on the sewing plate during stitch formation. At higher speed, the presser foot remains suspended over the fabric while sewing .
