Description

The Pfaff Quilt Bordering Kit 821370096 is specifically for the following Pfaff sewing machines:

Creative ICON, Performance ICON, Expression 710, Quilt Expression 720.

This beading accessory is perfect for finishing Patchwork quilts with the binding technique, partly because it has a large opening that can accommodate 8 cm strips of fabric.

The quilt binder kit comes with a presser foot for use with the Pfaff IDT (Integrated Double Transport) system, Double Fold (15 mm) folder, connection plate, and attachment screws.

It can be used with the optional needle plate (code 412964309) also on the following Pfaff sewing and embroidery machines:

Instructions for using the Quilt Binder:

• Cut a strip of fabric 80 mm wide so that you have a 15 mm finished edge
• Mount the quilting foot with the guide.
• Set the machine for quilting stitch or hand quilting stitch
• Place the plate on the machine and screw it on with the knurled screw provided
• Place the Quilt Binder on the needle plate, adjust the binder to align it, and secure it with the two screws and washers
• Measure the length of your work or quilt and add at least six inches of extra fabric
• Cut a sufficient number of 80 mm strips in equal numbers and merge them
• Slide the fabric strip into the edger with the help of tweezers
• When the fabric reaches the end of the edger, hold up the folded strip with your left hand
• Raise the presser foot and pull the strip under the presser foot back at least 5-6 cm behind the needle
• Insert the fabric inside the beading machine and choose the stitch and needle position you want
