enter the overlock foot Singer PT300 taking care to hook the arm onto the needle clamp. Lower the presser foot lever making sure it is engaged and the needle does not touch the presser foot by manually turning the machine.
Make sure you have tightened the clamp firmly.
SEWING MACHINE ADJUSTMENT
Stitch Type Adjustment: Bring the needle to the highest position and adjust the stitch type on the Zig-Zag
Adjust the Zig-Zag at least 5 mm wide so that the needle does not touch the center guide .
( PLEASE NOTE) Recheck that the needle does not touch the presser foot by turning the machine manually. In the case of electronic machines pay special attention to this.
Stitch length adjustment : Adjust the stitch length between 2-3 mm
Sewing speed : take care to sew at medium or low speed.
Fabric thickness: choose a fabric that can be sewn. In the case of thick jeans or equivalent material, do not exceed two layers.
FABRIC PREPARATION BEFORE SEWING
Mark a line on the fabric to be cut.
The width of the fabric, to be cut with the presser foot, should be between 1 and 1.5 cm from the line drawn on the fabric.
Cut off the excess fabric with scissors. To make the initial passage of fabric under the presser foot easier, make an invitation cut of about 2 cm with scissors along the line drawn previously.
HOW TO USE THE PRESSER FOOT
Lift the needle and presser foot
Place the fabric over the base of the presser foot, making sure that the left flap of the fabric slides under the presser foot and the right flap remains to the right of the knife. Pull the fabric slightly in the direction of transport to ensure that it is transported evenly .
ULTIMATE CONTROL TO ACHIEVE EXTRAORDINARY PERFORMANCE
Take care to maintain a stitch length of less than 3 mm.
Always check that the fabric flows evenly and correctly in the direction of transport .
If you use a light fabric, it is best to pull the fabric itself a little toward the knife .
Clean the cutting area frequently.
