“My sewing machine is a NECCHI!”. This was the slogan with which the company of sewing machines advertised the Supernova model. It was the 1950s, and the poster showed a winking, self-confident woman who could finally take advantage of an Italian sewing machine enriched with various functions, such as mechanical memories, which earned her the prize “Golden Compasses” .
The history of Necchi began in 1919, a full 100 years ago, when Vittorio Necchi-the son of Ambrogio Necchi, an industrialist who manufactured cast iron parts for machinery-inherited the family business. But as they say. “Behind a great man there is always a great woman.”, and Vittorio came up with the intuition to take advantage of the already established company to embark on a new adventure: build sewing machines.
This was no small challenge, as foreign competition was already fierce. The family Necchi tries anyway and follows its Italian dream. Who knows if it was in their ambitions to establish themselves as one of the most influential sewing machine companies in Italy, as in fact happened.
In honor of his 100th birthday, among the dealers of his sewing machines in lower Latium, Necchi chose SewShop To organize a fantastic event! Starring will be the new line of Necchi sewing machines which will be presented in the store with the help of seamstresses, stylists e blogger of the industry who will engage in demonstrations for customers who wish to attend.
Through creative workshops, participants will be shown all the features of these amazing sewing machines, their secrets and how to make the most of their special functions.
